Adult Acne Causes

There are a few adult acne causes that simply don’t get address properly or people don’t take seriously enough. If you want a list of adult acne causes I can give them to you:

  • Lack of sunlight
  • Lack of fresh air
  • Highly Stressful Living
  • Eating Junk Food
  • Eating Insufficient Amounts of Fruit & Vegetables (and no not just 5-a-day even that is poor!).
  • Lack of exercise
  •

These are all a few of the causes of adult acne but are quite important ones. The one I want to address here though is the dietary cause.

The Western world is getting fatter and fatter. We live on a diet of junk foods – processed, refined crap that does nothing for our bodies apart from over work them. Our diet is also high in fat – fat is very hard for the body to digest and creates a massive strain. It can take anywhere up to and over 24 hours for fat to be digested.

When we are eating refined processed foods, this strain on our body can simply be too much for our digestive system, liver and other organs and as a result the body has to rely on the help of a secondary eliminatory system to remove the toxic waste with have fed it. What is that secondary eliminatory system? Yes, you guess it! It’s the skin. This use of the skin results more often than not in acne.

On top of this acne is caused by a combination of high sebum production and pinched of sebum canals. If you can eliminate this pinching off, you will get no new acne zits. What causes your body to do this? FOOD! Again, food is the culprit. Most foods contain substances that can cause acne so it can very hard to pinpoint the food triggering it in you. Some people are also more sensitive than others, and eliminating lots of different foods may be the only answer to acne free skin.

How can I know what is causing my acne without buying anything?

To find out what is causing your acne all you need to do is eliminate all foods that cause acne for 1-2 weeks. During this time you should see a drastic improvement in your skin. You may want to continue with the elimination diet until your skin has totally cleared up. Once this has occurred you can then start adding in those foods one at a time to see what ones trigger acne in you. If there is particular food that causes some acne in you but you absolutely love it, you may not want to avoid it completely but by doing the elimination diet you will KNOW exactly what has caused your acne and thus be able to control how much acne you are willing to live with.

Being in control is what you need to feel ok about your acne. When you feel helpless and out of control you have no idea what you can do and you feel powerless. So put control about into your hands and eliminate all foods that cause acne!
