The first thing anyone will notice about this book is the title. I can imagine when I had acne this title alone would have given me enough temptation to buy the book BUT is there any real truth in that title and if not why would anyone buy a book with a false title?
Unfortunately after reading this book I wasn’t impressed. Despite the book being an easy read and having a good story format, there wasn’t much information given. As someone who has studied a lot of psychology, it was like the “popular” psychology books of the psychology world: shallow, sounds somewhat intelligent but lacking any real substance.
What am I getting at? Well for $40 I would have expected more.
The biggest downfall of this book was the mention of colon cleanses. It voices the old myth of mucoid plaque. If you don’t know what this is it is a supposive build up of black tar looking stuff in your colon. To help you clear up your acne (and lose weight as some weight loss books spout this rubbish) you need to clear it out. Unfortunately if you look inside a colon it is pink with no caked on materials even in individuals with poor health. It is made of the same material as the lining of your mouth. In fact, when you take “herbs” or other cleansing potions to clear this stuff out, it is those very herbs that make up this mucoid plaque given you the illusion that you just got rid of a whole lot of rubbish.
Back to the point – the book recommends enemas. I don’t like the idea of this being recommended. You can easily clear out your system by eating the right foods for acne as opposed to this practice.
The rest of the book offers not much more in guidance to overcome acne. It gives some simple dietary recommendations and also recommends supplements, which are another thing I wouldn’t recommend when overcoming acne. Supplements, in my experience, are NOT effective. Getting vitamins and minerals from REAL food such as fruits and greens ARE.
The advice given is supposed to get you Acne Free in 3 Days. Can it?
For some people – those who have mild acne, this book may have enough advice for you to clear up your issues BUT I highly doubt it at all.
The 3 day apple fast recommendation would probably help your acne, only because fruits are very easy on digestion meaning that by consuming only fruit your body will have freed up energy (that would have went on digestion) to repair and get rid of built up toxins you most likely have in your body.
However, to see real effects you would need to be consuming a fruit diet for a lot longer than 3 days, so I am skeptical about the claims this book makes.
(While we are on the subject of fasts, doing a water fast is a very effective way of clearing out your system of toxins quickly. An extended water fast with professional supervision is the best way to go. I would recommend contacting someone like Dr Doug Graham at www.foodnsport.com as they will be able to reefed you properly and thus keep your acne not returning. The benefits of a fast clearly are more than just becoming acne free as well).
Can I permanently cure my Acne with Acne Free in 3 Days? NO.
Acne Free in 3 Days make hefty promises that it simply can’t deliver. I would recommend that you not buy this book. Don’t allow yourself to be swallowed up by its over hyped sales page and false claims – you will only be disappointed.
If you want a good ebook on Treatment for Acne then I would recommend Clear for Life or Acne No More. These books truly give you a wealth of information that you really will see great results with.
