Treatment Adult Acne
Treatment for Adult Acne seems to be quite disjointed. There are many lotions and potions claiming to clear your face but do they actually work and even so, wouldn’t a better solution be to treat the ROOT CAUSE of the issue so you don’t have to have a daily facial routine that doesn’t guarantee beautiful clear skin, but instead can use the time doing something enjoyable?
There are many contributing factors to adult acne and you should really know them before you embark on treatment for adult acne. Why? Because if you want to overcome adult acne once and for all then you really need to make some lifestyle changes to help yourself out. Simply applying lotion isn’t going to help you in the long run and you may be unsuccessful in the short term too!
Treatment Adult Acne – So what causes adult acne?
Lifestyle & Diet – When it comes to the Western lifestyle, it isn’t exactly the best world to be living in in regards to our health and skin. Fast food, stressful living, inadequate fresh air, sunlight and exercise are a few of the things that are playing havoc with your skin.
Diet – One of the biggest causes of adult acne is our diet. When we eat lots of hard-to-digest, chemical-laden, toxic foods we put a massive strain on our bodies and organs. The Western diet is high in fat and fat is one of the hardest things for the body to digest taking up to 24 hours (in comparison to something like fruit that is easy on digestion and gets digested almost instantly).
With this massive strain on the system our body has to rely on a secondary eliminatory system to help overcome the build up of toxic waste. What is this secondary system? Yes, you guessed it YOUR SKIN. This results in acne!
Stress – Stress also contributes to adult acne. If we are under stress, just like pouring processed junk food into our bodies, we are weakening our bodies and pushing them into relying on secondary back up systems. Stress works on the adrenal glands and wears you down when you are under constant stress. We aren’t made for small mini stressors constantly. Our fight-or-flight response is built for running away from predators, but because we live in such an artificial way it gets used in a way it wasn’t designed and ultimately plays havoc with your adrenal glands and your well being.
The adrenal glands are already being exhausted as a result of our diets. For further explanation of this check this article out: What Causes Yeast Infection
Sun, Fresh Air and Exercise – Most people these days are afraid to go out in the sun for fear of skin cancer. It doesn’t work that way. In fact it is really important to get your bare skin in the sun. We need vitamin D from the sun, it is part of healthful living. The best way to get this is to build your tolerance up. Go out for ten minutes for a few days, then twenty minutes etc until you are comfortable. Avoid wearing sunglasses because this stops your body being aware that you are in the blazing sun.
You will find that if you choose to clear up your diet for your acne, that you will burn less easily.
Fresh air and exercise are also important. Exercise helps get your lymphatic system moving to help you rid of those toxins (preventing them coming out on your skin!).
Hormones – Some adult acne issues are related to hormones. In this case there isn’t much you can do to alter this. Ultimately if you live a healthful lifestyle and make dietary changes, your hormones should balanced out and thus your hormonal acne should disappear too. Diet, however, really is the key to unlocking that beautiful clear skin you really do have.
Fitness & Exercise – Of course one can’t comment on lifestyle factors of acne without mentioning exercise. Exercise is a great way of getting your lympy system moving and helping flush out toxiins ultimately helping to keep those of your face and causing acne.
